Today in Politics: Biden hosts the Three Amigos Summit
Plus: The House debates the Build Back Better and the Senate moves forward on approving military spending.
After President Joe Biden receives his daily intelligence briefing at 9 a.m., he’ll sign and deliver remarks on three bills at 9:45 a.m. Then he’ll meet separately with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at 1:15 p.m. and Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at 3 p.m. before hosting the two leaders for the North American Leaders’ Summit at 4:45 p.m.
Vice President Kamala Harris will also meet with Trudeau at 1:30 p.m. and AMLO at 2:45 p.m. in the VP’s ceremonial office.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki will brief reporters at 1:45 a.m.
The Senate will meet at 10 a.m. and continue consideration of the National Defense Authorization Act, which allocates military funds for the Department of Defense.
The House will meet at 10 a.m. to debate the Build Back Better Act and vote on two other bills.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi will hold her weekly press conference at 10:45 a.m.
